Even though dermal fillers are not a prescription medicine and only classified as a medical device, we still only stock dermal fillers approved by the New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine (NZSCM).
Dermal fillers can be used on most areas around the face, adding volume to cheeks, smoothing out laugh lines around the eyes, and deep lines around the mouth and adding volume to thin lips if desired.
Depending on the area treated, the filler used, and the person receiving the injections, results can last anywhere from 6 months to 18 months.
The natural ageing process causes the skin to lose its full, firm and youthful appearance. The skin becomes less elastic due to collagen loss. It can sag causing wrinkles and deep lines to appear. Fat tissue which maintains the fullness of your face also drops and loses some of its volume. The bony facial skeleton can also change and thin out.
